Back in 1983 in Washington state, the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts was born. The Academy is not a martial arts school chain, but each of the locations happen to be family owned. While they started out small, today there are three different locations located in Federal Way, Lynnwood, and Bellevue. At each location, the main focus is on teaching martial arts in a way that helps students learn a system of self defense that is complete, offering improved safety and many other excellent benefits.

Each location of the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts is run by the master instructor Robert Jones. His training began back in 1978 and later he would see the need to teach others, opening these martial arts schools. Each of the locations are run by Jones and he makes it his first priority to ensure that high quality instruction is provided to every student that attends these classes.

The Academy of Kempo Martial Arts teaches Kung Fu and the specific style taught include White Tiger, Five Animals (Snake, Tiger, Leopard, Crane, and Dragon), as well as Moh Kempo. Training in this style of martial arts provides a workout for the entire body. It also helps to increase flexibility, improve endurance, build better strength, and it even provides an excellent source of stress relief.

The training at the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts provides students with self defense training that is effective. It includes weapons, lock traps, ground fighting, multiple attacks, take downs, and more. Meditation and breathing techniques are also part of the teaching. These are just as important as other aspects of the training, since they work to relieve stress and provide peace of mind.

At the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts, every single instructor is a professional teacher that teaches full time. Their main goal and job is to help every student get results while learning martial arts. Before they are able to teach, every instructor completes a teaching certification program as well to ensure they are well equipped and informed so they can provide you with the training and results you want.

Each location of the Academy operates on a full time schedule, allowing students to schedule at times that work for them. The personal feel and professionalism combined with experience makes this martial arts school a unique one. The mission of the Academy of Martial Arts is to provide individuals with the training needed to keep them safe while increase their self esteem and improving their level of fitness.
